Geert and Kurt, two certified Bruges city guides, decide to join forces. They boldly cast off the tight corset of the \u201cclassic city tour\u201d. For the first time, visitors on a guided walk in Bruges get to see more than the usual highlights between Minnewater and the Market Square. Their \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/s-wan.be\/en\/walks-in-bruges\/\">Special Walks<\/a><\/span>\u201d (yes, that\u2019s where \u201cS\u2011wan\u201d comes from!) are fresh, surprising themed tours for anyone who loves hidden corners and powerful Bruges stories.    <\/p><p>What began with a handful of guides and a limited offer gradually grew into the realisation of their dream. More and more guides joined S\u2011wan, drawn by the vision, the warm atmosphere, and the small\u2011scale character of the organisation. <\/p><p>With the support of various city services, the range of tours expanded into a colourful mix of walks and bike rides in and around Bruges. Ten years later, the team had already grown to 35 enthusiastic guides. Today, that number has risen to no fewer than 60 guides who are passionate about Bruges\u2019 heritage and eager to share their love for the city.  <\/p><p>Twenty years later, S\u2011wan is still that young, energetic and surprising organisation, or, in international terms: \u201cGuides with a twist.\u201d<\/p><p>And that anniversary year? We\u2019d love to celebrate it together with you!
